About the designer
giorgia pearce
I discovered my passion for making during the Covid-19 lockdown. While staying with a friend’s family and searching for ways to pass the time, I came across an old sewing machine and a few bags of unwanted clothes. That moment sparked something in me. I spent the rest of the summer teaching myself to sew, and I haven’t stopped since. What began as a creative escape has grown into a deep passion for upcycling, which I later honed through a Fashion degree.
With some of my designs I aim to tell stories; with others I simply follow a thread of inspiration to see where it leads. But all share a common purpose: to empower the wearer and help them feel confident through striking, flattering pieces. My style is always evolving, but at its heart is a celebration of femininity and a fearless approach to design. Influenced by my Italian and British heritage, I respect classic silhouettes while adding subtle, unexpected twists inspired by the creativity I see in my peers and the streets of London.
Sustainability is a core value in my practice and I am committed to minimum-waste production. I use patternmaking, draping, and freehand crochet to create unique, one-of-a-kind garments from scratch, as can be seen in my portfolio pieces. Wherever possible, I work with deadstock and recycled fabrics, aiming to give new life to pre-existing materials.
